New Designs for Spring - Hello Palms & Birthday Cupcake

I've got another Spring design "twofer" for you today. Both are very different in their intent, theme and use of color, but the one thing that brings them together is, fun! Both cards just ooze with a sense of fun and inspire me to get out from behind this computer and go enjoy life. You can grab both of them at the Etsy store!

New Designs for Spring - Yellow Buds Happy Birthday Card

I'm so excited to unveil the first of the new Spring 2009 collection! Many of the designs for this spring are simple, nature inspired and peaceful. You'll see a few fun and retro designs, but everything is designed with positivity and peace in mind (since there's enough craziness out there already!) This Happy Birthday card was designed with those in mind who would rather run through a field of wild flowers than go to dinner and a movie on their birthday. Of course, like all of the Paper Mango cards, it's printed on eco-friendly paper and this one in particular is on Sundance Paper's felt texture cover stock. Spring Collection Inspiration

I realize most of the country is in a deep freeze but the beautiful 70+ degree weather here in Phoenix just makes me want to create pretty spring things. So I'm starting to work on the 2009 Spring collection. Creativity starts with inspiration and a major source of inspiration for me recently has come from Kuler, a website in the Adobe family where creatives can find, design and share color themes. Amazing! I'll definitely be using it for my next home painting project. Aside from it's practical implications it's just a really fun place to browse around. The theme above is titled "Lake Stones in Fog" and just gets me really excited to design new cards and invites for a new season. Check out Kuler and check back here in a few weeks for new designs!
