Mother's Day Cards // Round One

I know it's only March, but like Mom always said, "The early bird gets the worm". So I'm trying to get a head start on Mother's Day card designs. Here's the first of many, already available at the Etsy store! We're all eternally indebted to our moms and it would take us a life time to compile a comprehensive list of all the things they've done to help us along in life. This card takes a few of the top picks (some serious, some a little cheeky) that might be on a universal "thanks mom" list. Comes in four color schemes: monochrome gray, pink lady, zen green and retro. I'll be introducing new designs weekly if not bi-weekly, so check back often!

New Designs for Spring - Hello Palms & Birthday Cupcake

I've got another Spring design "twofer" for you today. Both are very different in their intent, theme and use of color, but the one thing that brings them together is, fun! Both cards just ooze with a sense of fun and inspire me to get out from behind this computer and go enjoy life. You can grab both of them at the Etsy store!

Hand drawn mixed with a little retro and a fabulous Spring color palate and you've got yourself a fun card! Send it for no other reason than to just say, "Hello!".

New Designs for Spring - Thank You & Birthday Card

I'm a bit behind schedule on sharing the new Spring designs, so today you get a two for one. Both of these cards are favorites of mine and I hope you think so too! You can pick both up at the Etsy store, along with all the other new Spring designs!

Super fun and a little retro, the "Connect-the-Dots" Happy Birthday Card will bring back child hood memories that will make anyone feel a little younger on their day.


I titled this card "Feathers Caught in Breeze" and it just makes me stop...and breath. I'm sure who ever is on the receiving end of this card will sense your gratitude even before reading your message.

Saying "Thanks" will be refreshing with this new Thank You card from the Paper Mango Spring 2009 collection. The only thing this card is missing is the smell of freshly cut grass. New Designs for Spring - Yellow Buds Happy Birthday Card

I'm so excited to unveil the first of the new Spring 2009 collection! Many of the designs for this spring are simple, nature inspired and peaceful. You'll see a few fun and retro designs, but everything is designed with positivity and peace in mind (since there's enough craziness out there already!) This Happy Birthday card was designed with those in mind who would rather run through a field of wild flowers than go to dinner and a movie on their birthday. Of course, like all of the Paper Mango cards, it's printed on eco-friendly paper and this one in particular is on Sundance Paper's felt texture cover stock. Spring Collection Inspiration

I realize most of the country is in a deep freeze but the beautiful 70+ degree weather here in Phoenix just makes me want to create pretty spring things. So I'm starting to work on the 2009 Spring collection. Creativity starts with inspiration and a major source of inspiration for me recently has come from Kuler, a website in the Adobe family where creatives can find, design and share color themes. Amazing! I'll definitely be using it for my next home painting project. Aside from it's practical implications it's just a really fun place to browse around. The theme above is titled "Lake Stones in Fog" and just gets me really excited to design new cards and invites for a new season. Check out Kuler and check back here in a few weeks for new designs!

Who needs Cupid?

I got amazing responses to the last round of cards I posted over at my Etsy store! I'm hoping to follow that up with a couple more non-traditional "Valentines". Share the "No Cupids Allowed" card with any of your friends who have banned him this year. Or let that special some one know your feelings for them are akin to mold on a lemon. They'll understand.

There's nothing like the start of a new year to inspire you to spend time organizing, restructuring and designing. Sorry for the long hiatus, but it was great to have some space to refocus and create. And now I'm baaaack (thank you Jimmy Fallon) with some fresh picked Valentines & Singles Awareness Day cards. The Holiday Collection has Arrived!

The stores in the mall have us beat by a couple weeks, but at last our holiday collection is ready! To sum it up in one word, this collection is FUN! Lots of color, quirky reindeer, whimsical fonts and new textures really bring out the joy of the holiday season. Head over to the Store to see the collection in its entirety. The Holidays are coming!

Believe it or not, the Holiday season is right around the corner. I've already got a couple of designs under my belt but am thinking I'll wait until the whole group is ready to come out and play for the big reveal. I'm so excited for this collection. The Holiday season evokes all kinds of feelings and memories that are so fun to try and interpret graphically. I hope you'll agree.
